Autumn in Reception

Autumn fruit pictures

The children used Autumn colours and apples and pears to print with.

Practicing our writing

The children used large paper and chunky pens to practice writing their letters and holding their pens correctly. 

The children decided to play school and were taking the register and doing their phonics. 

Helping us to get strong arms for writing.

The children lay on their tummys and had to keep their arms straight to draw large circles with. This helps develop their shoulder and upper arm strength. 

Easter competition Winners!

Today we had our Easter assembly and announced the winners of our Easter competition! Well done to everyone that entered and a special well done to our winners from Reception! 

Easter stay and play

Today Foundation Stage had our Easter themed stay and play. We had lots of fun making Easter crafts and the children really enjoyed showing their families all of the fun activities that we do in school.

Stockley farm

Today Nursery were lucky enough to go on a trip to Stockley Farm! 

We had lots of fun meeting all sorts of animals, feeding them and stroking them!

We went on a very bumpy tractor ride and did some brilliant singing!

We also got to see the milking parlour where all of the cows go to be milked!! 

It was a very exhausting day and some of us just couldn't resist having a little sleep on the way home!!!
