Gymnastics

Today Reception had their first gymnastics session with Beth Tweddle Gym Stars. We tried lots of different stretches, jumps and balances. Everyone had great fun and can't wait for next Friday. 

Our New Pre-school

Our new pre-school for children aged 2 is now ready and we are looking forward to welcoming our new children and families on Monday!

Little Red Riding Hood

We were very lucky to have Arianna's Mum come in and read us the story of Little Red Riding Hood to us in Polish this week. Before she came we read the story in English and watched an interactive story on the interactive whiteboard.

During the story we asked questions about what was happening, using the pictures to help us, there was a very funny picture of the wolf falling on the floor and bumping his head, we noticed that this didn't happen in our English version of the story and so we talked lots about how the stories were different.

We learnt that in the Polish version of the story the wood cutter gave the wolf lots of food with stones in that made him very heavy and he couldn't walk any more. In the English version the wood cutter came and bopped the wolf on the head and made the Wolf too scared to come back.

At the end of both stories they all lived happily ever after, some of us decided that we liked the Polish version of the story more and others liked the English one more!

Thank you for coming in to read to us, we are really hoping that more parents would like to come in and read us stories after Easter!!

Nursery assembly!

This morning it was our Nursery assembly, we had lots of fun telling all of the mummies and daddies about everything we have learnt about space!

We were all very brave and spoke into the microphone both loudly and clearly!

A big thank you to all of the mummies and daddies that came along to watch! We hope you enjoyed it!!

Story time

This afternoon the Nursery children were very lucky to have Igor and Nadia's Mum come in to our class to read a story in Polish! She read us the story of Goldilocks and the three Bears. We talked about how the story is different when we tell it in English, and which version we like th best. We decided that we prefer the Polish version of the story because Goldilocks and Baby Bear become friends and play together at the end!!

Comic Relief

We have Today we have been doing lots of fundraising for Comic Relief. We all dressed in red clothes and wore our red noses!

We had lots of fun in the hall doing 'red nose' and spoon races!! It was very tricky keeping the red nose on the spoon and trying to walk quickly at the same time!!

We were very lucky and had yummy red noses (cherries) on top of our cakes at lunch time too!!

For our "something funny" we decided to make our faces look very funny!!

We had lots of fun for Comic Relief and we hope you do too!!

Visit to the Reindeer Lodge

This week we all went to the Reindeer Lodge. It was very exciting as we got to meet Father Christmas and feed his Reindeers. Trixie the Elf looked after us and we had a party with some of the other Elves, Miss Littler and Miss Sant had to dance with the Elves which was very funny!
